Here what I've come up so far on multiplayer maps and how they are successful.
Legend:
- thick black lines; the main structure of a map, all lines are pathways people can go
- thin black lines; the secondary pathways of a map
- dashed grey lines; the tertiary pathways of a map
- doughnuts; the 'strongpoints', defend areas defenders are likely to go. you should not be able to see the bomb from here.
- orange circle; attacker spawnpoint
- brown circle; defender spawnpoint
- A; the 'easy to plant but hard to defend' bomb, must be closest to attackers in an open area
- B; the 'hard to plant but easy to defend' bomb, must be closest to defenders in a closed area
